George Orwell's "Animal Farm" explores what the world looks like in animals' eyes. The book also goes in-depth into the animals' government and how they function as a society. It shows what happens when one person/group has all the power, and what that eventually leads to. This book also shows how important it is to be able to read and talk well.
"Animal Farm" may not seem like it would be a realistic/serious book because it's about animals, but you would be pleasantly surprised. It is a shortish book with a little over 100 pages in it. However, what I like about it is that it takes its time and elaborates step by step on how a dictatorship is formed.
Like "1984", another book by George Orwell, it's a kind of depressing/sad book that will change the way you look at people in charge. Overall, this book is a great metaphor for most dictatorships and how they came to power by controlling others. I would strongly recommend this book.
I rate this book 9.5/10
