Chris Colfer's "A Grimm Warning" shows how fairy tales played a huge role in human history. Conner goes through a huge adventure across Europe and ends up at a famous historical site. The reader gets to follow along while learning much more about Conner and how he thinks. Colfer does a great job of balancing how often he switches to Alex's and Conner's perspectives. This makes it hard for the reader not to remember or be fuzzy about what is happening to one twin. Colfer dives deeper into characters that haven't been talked about much before, which I loved because I am very curious about every character, even if they aren't one of the main ones. Colfer also introduces many new characters to his story so there is always something new to discover about someone.

"A Grimm Warning" also explains the political state of the kingdoms, focusing mainly on the Red Riding Hood Kingdom. This book focuses on the military aspects of the world, which as a child, is one of the most interesting things there is. you get introduced to a new villain that is different from all the others you have seen before. In this book, there are two antagonists compared to the usual one.

Alex and Conner both start to get into relationships which influences the plot in a good way; it's just a plot that hasn't been in the two previous books. There is much action in this book, and you never get bored while reading it. Overall, this book is a fast-paced story that includes war and much growth in the twins' personal lives.

I rate this book 9/10.
